more quarters
For this one I was basically hitting the Juno keyboard manually to make a quarter note pattern; the tempo slows slightly as the sample plays out. Enjoy!

The kick drum is another of my favorites. Here I’m again working with Virtual Kicklab XL and editing using Audacity. This one has some bass to shake the bass bins. It is probably representative more of the TR 909 kick than the TR 808 kick drum.

I’ve been enjoying the Virtual Kicklab XL from Angular Momentum. I’m kind of in a gabber mode, and it’s producing some excellent foundations for some hardcore kick drums. I time stretched this with another kick drum, mixed the two and filtered with some ADSR using Audacity.

This one was cut from another old session. I’ll post some new content once I improve my hardware situation. I’m picking up a lot of noise from somewhere, and it’s being carried over into the recordings.

I have added some features to the Sample Of The Day web site permitting subscription through your favorite content delivery, either RSS or E-Mail. If you use Google Reader, Bloglines, or Yahoo Reader you may also choose to use one of the subscription buttons at the footer of every page in Sample Of The Day.
Here’s the last for the TB-303 for now. Roland made other great equipment I’ll be trying to represent in the upcoming weeks.

This one is a loop made with the Juno 60’s arpeggiator; It’s got a good quarter note feel to it. I cut the file from an older set then pasted it together a couple of times.

The Juno’s arpeggiator was set to UP/DOWN.

This one was pulled from an older session with the Juno 60, but no other processing was done. The arpeggiator rate is variable.
