Bassline 001 by Good Time Tribe

I created this bassline using Reason. It is pretty simple, consisting of a bass in Subtractor, an added the Digital Delay, and sequenced in Matrix. I did touch up work in Audacity.

Stab 003 by Good Time Tribe

I have been ripping it up creating these stabs using a 2oscillator VSTi in VSTHOST. Hip-hop is a lot of fun and forgiving of sounds, so again this stab works well here.

Hi Tom 001 by Good Time Tribe

I think percussion is important, and I love how the tom’s give a track a certain ethnic feel to them. This would be good in a house or disco dance floor filler. It’d work well in some acid techno or tech-house too, maybe some rock. I actually made this with a Juno 60. txfm740 sent me a set of his recordings, and i chopped some nuggets out, and increased the speed and tempo, and it sounded look a good tom, so I’m quite pleased with the results. All of the processing was completed in Audacity, including noise removal.

FX Synth 004 by Good Time Tribe

Reason has a lot to explore. I created this using the NN-19 Digital Sampler. It is another special effects style sound with an easily distinguishable LFO. This would be good to apply some more effects to, fiddle with the panning, and speed it up/stretch it out. It would work well in goa, psytrance, chill out, rock, industrial, and drum and bass.

Clean-up accomplished using Audacity.

Playing around with Reason’s multitude of awesome synths, there’s a huge acoustic soundscape to pull wonderful nuggets from. I came up with the crazy liquid synth fx sound using Maelstrom. I used Audacity for post processing (minimal, mostly some compression)
