Low Frequency Oscillator:

delay = 6

Pulse Width Modulator:
set at 5

Voltage Controlled Filter:
frequency = 1
reverb = 9

Envelope:
attack = 3
decay = 5
sustain = 3.5
release = 3

Pads 002 by Good Time Tribe

I’m playing around with pads because they can be used to help create a particular mood in a song. I made this one again using Hades XT by B. Serrano. This one is quite different from most of my other posts. It is obviously much longer in duration, at almost 50 seconds and 8megs. It is in stereo and you will hear the intense wahwah effect I added to the pads using Audacity. I also used the high pass filter, this time cutting out anything below 3khz so that it doesn’t muddy with your drums.

Kick Drum 009 by Good Time Tribe

We are about to wrap up my current kick drum series. This current sample was created using a technique a friend taught me a long time ago. Layering samples, even those that sound tremendously similar, can have some impressive results. For this one, I actually used 3 separate VSTi synths (Digidrum Classic, ErsDrum, and Virtual Kicklab XL. I also used the compressor in Audacity for the touch up.

Kick Drum 001 by Good Time Tribe

I’ve been enjoying the Virtual Kicklab XL from Angular Momentum. I’m kind of in a gabber mode, and it’s producing some excellent foundations for some hardcore kick drums. I time stretched this with another kick drum, mixed the two and filtered with some ADSR using Audacity.

Good Time Tribe TB-303 006

This is a deep bass sound sample for audio production. Again I started with a freeware VSTi, I don’t remember which one but I’ll begin making more notes about those in the future. It’s got some kick with a little drip to it so it’d be good as your regular bassline tone. I lowered the overall amplitude and then boosted the bass using Audacity and I am pretty happy with the result.
